General Site Conditions
Widespread rain fell over the region (1-2 inches) July 9-11.
Microwave Aircraft Operations
NCAR C-130
June 25, 27, July 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, and 8
Good PALS data all dates, July 1 was a partial.
The C-130 departed on July 8 after data collection.
NASA P-3
June 25, 27, 29, July 1, 4, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12
Good PSR data all dates, good ESTAR on the 27, 29, 1 and 4.
Aircraft problems kept the P-3 grounded July 5, 6, and 7.
NASA DC-8
July 1, 5, 7, 8, and 9
Good AIRSAR data.
Aircraft problems grounded the DC-8 on July 6

General Site Conditions
Storms began on July 3rd and continued through July 6th. Most of the region
had over an inch of rain.

WEEK 1 UPDATE (June 30, 2002)
General Site Conditions
The soil had some moisture in the surface layers at the outset. There has
been no rain and the soil is now very dry. Corn heights are typically > 1
meter and soybeans > 15 cm.
