Satellite Data Request for ARS Employees

Step 1: Data available via this request come from the FAS archive of scenes already purchased for USDA.

Check http://sirius.spotimage. fr/anglais/Welcome.htm to find potentially available spot scenes.
Check http://edcsns17.cr.usgs.gov/ EarthExplorer/ to find potentially available Landsat TM scenes

If the data requested are not in the archive, they may be purchased by the requester. To do this please contact Judy Goldich via e-mail at Goldich@fas.usda.gov or via phone 202-720-1572. These purchases could include Landsat TM and/or spot data not in the archive and/or other satellite imagery that is not normally archived such as Ikonos. The requester is responsible for the cost of this data.

For spot imagery modes:

P – Panchromatic mode ( Spot 1,2,3) Band is 0.51 to 0.73 um - 10 meter resolution
XS – Multispectral mode Spot 1,2,3) - 20 meter resolution

  B1 - 0.50 – 0.59 Green
B2 – 0.61 – 0.68 Red
B3 - 0.79 – 0.89 NIR
M – Monospectral mode (Spot 4) 0.61 – 0.68 um - 10 meter resolution
XI – Multispectral Mode ( Spot 4 ) Same as XS plus 1.58 – 1.75 um - 20 meter resolution
