Objectives
The symposium is for technological transfer of the current knowledge and technology on digital imaging and spectral methods to the plant research community and practicing agronomists. The conventional methods for quantifying plant growth and stress responses require determining individual plant height, biomass and/or photosynthetic activity which take a great deal of time and effort. The imaging and spectral technologies have progressed rapidly during the last five years and this symposium features the latest information from scientists of different disciplines to provide opportunities for interaction and collaboration. The symposium features 9 oral lectures, 21 posters, and 6 product displays, hands-on software and hardware demonstrations. In addition to the website, the papers will be published in a monograph.
