Energy Flux Model Inputs from Remotely Sensed Data

The model inputs to calculate the surface energy balance componets were derived from various remote sensing instruments. The model itself is driven by ground-based meteorological data.

Surface Temperature was calculted from thermal data collected from the NS001 sensor flown upon NASA's C130 research aircraft

NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) was calculated from the red and near-infrared channels of a Landsat TM scene

Land Cover was calculted from a classified Landsat TM scene
